Our History

In 1958, through the Sandmeier United Methodist Church Commission on Evangelism, a mission extension was opened at the house of Mr. & Mrs Dalmacio Martin at the Elysian Subdivision, Marulas , Valenzuela City. Charter members included the Martin Family, Jose and Maura Raiz, and Pedro and Felina Victoria. It was brother Melencio de Armas who led the regular Sunday Worship Services which has opened to more members joining the congregation. One year after, a “QUONSET HUT” was built in Karuhatan, Valenzuela in a 400 square meter (400sqm) lot which was bought by the Philippines Annual Conference. The Valenzuela United Methodist Church was finally accepted to the conference that year as a full pledged church. The first minister was Rev. Severina Cruz.It was on the year 1973, when a concrete building was built under the term of Rev. Alejandro P. Canete. By the year 1984, the building was not enough for the worshiping congregation thus a second floor was added during the term of Rev Emmanuel Jacinto.

There have been a number of renovations in the succeeding years and finally a beautiful and elegant structure now stands at 16th Bezotte Street Karuhatan Valenzuela City where more than 100 active families worship and praise the Lord. Through the generosity and heart for mission of Tatay Victor & Nanay Mina Sebastian, our mission program has been given a part from their lot for building a Livelihood & Worship Center at Sebastian Compound, Bagbaguin, Valenzuela City.  Also, two of our members are now a full time Pastor and Deaconess, Pastor Edrick Ancheta  who is a  Youth Pastor at Knox United Methodist Church and Ms. Rowena Agulto Santos for Kindergarten Education Deaconess in that same local church.  At present, Rev. Ruperto C. Cruz, Jr. is the Administrative Pastor with DrAmelia Gonzales as the Church Lay Leader and Engr. Ruben S. Marcelo as the Administrative Council Chairperson.

Our Vision - Mission

We will be a life-giving church that flows in the presence of God. We will work together with other churches and ministries to spread the kingdom of God. We will be a people of prayer for a dramatic outpouring of God's Kingdom in the City of Valenzuela, and the nations. We will be people of hope and purpose-not performance.
